Owl Prowl at Point Pelee

Go on an evening adventure with a park interpreter and learn about the mysterious world of owls! Don’t forget to dress warm!

Regular park admission applies.  There are accessible trails throughout the park.

Essex Retirees’ Social Club 8th Annual Soup Tasting Contest

Everyone is welcome to join the Essex Retirees for their 8th Annual Soup Tasting Contest! Enjoy all-you-can-eat soup, along with fresh bread, coffee, tea and dessert! Admission is $7.

The Essex Retirees are also looking for soup makers, so if you’d like to register an entry you do so by calling 519-776-6689.

Maple Syrup Festival

March 2 & 3 | 11am-4pm
John R. Park Homestead, 15 Essex County Rd 50, Essex

Celebrate the end of winter and take part in a time-honoured tradition! At the Maple Syrup Festival you’ll have the chance to make maple taffy in the snow, see syrup being made and learn the science of maple!

Buildings and washrooms at John R. Park Homestead are wheelchair accessible, however the grounds are a park-like setting and pathways are not paved.  For people with mobility issues, it is recommended to arrive early as the on-site parking fills quickly.

Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for children. John R. Park Homestead has generously waived admission fees for support staff attending with someone they support. Support staff will need to self-identify to the admission volunteers.
