Our Employment Staff Team (Career Compass) will use their expertise to develop skills, assist in finding competitive employment, and help to maintain a positive work relationship with employers. Guidance is provided every step of the way, on an as-needed basis for both the job seekers and businesses we working with.

What are Employment Services?

Our recently modernized Employment Services, known as Career Compass combines years of experience in providing employment services with a fresh look and approach. We assist each person to develop work related skills, assist in seeking opportunities for meaningful employment, provide on site job coaching, and provide direction with small business start ups and their sustainability.

Training is based on individual goals and may include:

  • Résumé Writing
  • Interview Preparation
  • Employment Applications
  • Work Experience Opportunities
  • Workplace Expectations

First Choice – Employment!

First Choice – Employment is a two year project between Community Living Essex County, and Community Living Windsor to ensure that employment is an option for all people who have an intellectual disability and choose to work! This project is the launching pad allowing us to refresh, renew and reinvent the way we provide our Employment Services.
